My Mom
For this exercise about analyzing a personality, the first person to come to mind was my mom. There is no other personality that I could possibly know better than my mom's, simply because she has been by my side from day one.
Since we had to analyze her personality throughout her entire life, I sat back to think about all the stories she has ever told me, and even made a phone call to her mom and sister to back up what I heard. Even with her sister joking around and having fun, I really got to understand what my mom was like in her childhood. She has always been a women of Christ, hardworking, and dedicated to whatever she has done. When she was young she always followed directions even without questioning them. My mom has always had the biggest heart and it was present in the fact that she loved to take care of and be around many animals including dogs and horses. A big quality that showed, as I was told by her own mom, was that she was dedicated to every task she did. She has never been the tallest women, but basketball was her sport. Due to her lack of size she had to work extra hard, and with her many hours of being outside shooting around and constant determination, she was able to lead her team and even make the all-state team and graduate with handfuls of rewards only few athletes can receive.
Her traits and personalities have carried on and display in the women I know today. She has set a great example on how to be a God-fearing Christian and helped shaped my brother and I into the men we are today. She is dedicated to her family for she never hesitates to lose some sleep, or drop whatever she is doing, to assist or do whatever it takes for my brother and I. And I can't be thankful enough for a personality like that. She has spent countless hours behind the steering wheel simply going from place to place to take care of the two of us. And our schedules are far from being clear and relaxing.
If my mom were to take a personality test, I think the results would fit her qualities and personalities perfectly. The results would be just as I have described above. I believe that her personality follows Roger's theory as she has made the most of all of her situations and has kept her head held high. Whenever troubles challenge us and her, she stays calm and simply trust's in Christ. She is truly an example to follow.
Till the end of her day's, I believe her personality will not change and she will continue to be the women she is today. She has a special personality that is not very common. At times I would get frustrated with her just being a young an unexperienced child, but at the end of the day I am always proud to call her my mom, and am so very thankful for her.

You did a good job investigating the story of your mom, this was fun for you! What a beautiful story about your mother's achievements, her high thoughts and constant determination led her to obtain those achievements she longed for. I was inspired to read about your mother's care for you and your brother. That makes a personality persistent and determined and with enough calm to trust in God. Thank you, Brandon, for sharing your story with us!
ReplyDeleteHey Brandon! I loved reading this about your mom. I think you did a wonderful job and even went that extra step when you decided to ask her mother and sister about her. This post not only shows your mom's personality, but yours as well because of how you talked about and described her. Do you think you would ever ask her to take a personality test so see what her results would be based on that test?
