M5 "Whats your Story"

If I had to define myself with one word, that word would be "lover." Throughout my life, my story has been defined by so many things. I have been involved in so many different groups and been a part of so many teams, they have all been so different. One thing about this is that I have been surrounded with so many different people as well. They have all been of different races, cultures and backgrounds, one thing that our world today is struggling with. The world tends to divide us in every possible way, no matter what we do. But I have learned to defy those standards and be a lover. In my mind I don't see different cultures or backgrounds, but one race: human. We were all created in the image of God with our own special traits that are like no one else in the entire world. Seeing things this way has opened up so many more doors and friendships for me, that wouldn't have been possible if I did not see it that way. My story has made my life so much better and even people around me have noticed and started to do the same, creating stronger bonds with everyone. I believe that if everyone saw everyone else as equal the world would be a much better place. But that is one part of my story and how I like to define me that has made my life so much better.

Reading through all of the #IDefineMe stories was very inspiring. To be able to read people's true thoughts that they may not always have the chance to say opened my eyes. It will definitely be worth keeping up with.

Brandon, I love this! I fully agree with you and I believe that we are all equal and all human. I really enjoyed reading this blog it was very well done. It also gave me a little insight on your story.

Yes, I agree that we are all made in the image of God and that we are here to glorify him with our lives. I can definitely relate to how you think we should not be a divided society and that we should be united despite of our differences. :)
